this view is a large part of why i love clamming here. when my back gets sore, or when the whim strikes, i straighten up and gaze around. at the far right, just peeking above indian island, is snow-capped mt. baker. if you enlarge the picture by clicking on it you can see the white speck on the water horizon above me and a bit to the right that is the port townsend-whidby island ferry. the low hill on the left horizon is port townsend itself. the crane structure on the right horizon is a part of the indian island naval magazine---a munitions arsenal, not a publication. this a -1.0 tide.
