They sure do hog up a feeder. When that happens to me with cow birds, I quit feeding everyone for a week and they go away. The cool birds are optimistic and stick around.
I hate them.....they can eat my entire month's budget of bird food in ONE sloppy encounter, pooping on the feeder at the same time. They are the ONE bird I'll go out on the deck and shoo off. **I know, me bad.

ReplyDeleteI don't like pigeons and I don't like doves for that very reason.
ReplyDeleteNobody eats there any more, it's too crowded.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, they're no worse than any other bird that comes in a flock to a feeder; they're just larger so they take up more room and seed.
