Sweet photo of Bonsai. I don't have a fireplace, but a few days ago Oboe was sitting like that in front of my tiny television that isn't hooked up to cable but on which I can play DVDs. She was watching a wonderful DVD called "So Many Feathers: Bird Watching Without Binoculars." She doesn't try to catch the birds, but she does does sit there like Bonsai in front of the fire. My sister gave it to me. I think you and Roger would like it.
word verification: kidalia. A variation on the word kiddo?
So wonderful that you're close enough to the end to start a countdown. Hang tough, roger!
I'm about to go out for my third round of shoveling. The snow is very heavy now and I have to lift it over shoulder height to fling it aside. I hope that when I finish, Bonsai will shift over a bit and let me join him in front of the fire!
bonsai's just doing what a cat gotta do. my cats would sit by the fire, except any fires are in the "dog room," which is scary. so they settle for the heater vents and the sunlight beams, which aren't usually as visually entertaining.
wo0o0 ho0o0 - so the countdown begins. we should all have a blog party to celebrate this on march 2. everyone raises a toast to roger's health at the exact same time on the same evening. imagine the energy crossing the sky with this powerful bunch!
i love this photo of bonsai. so glad he seems to be doing better now.
Robin, I am not surprised that you and Roger are aware of and like Ram Dass. I have not seen that documentary - I didn't even know there was one. I will try and find it! Thanks!
What a sweet image; and onward, you guys. May all be well.
ReplyDeleteYes, onward and upward. And that photo is just dear. :)
ReplyDeleteB-Boy looks as if he's in the temple, meditating.
ReplyDeleteHere's to Roger getting through February - and you, too, my dear!
Hugs to Roger, or, hugs to roger!
ReplyDeleteSmart cat! (said over 6 inches of snow). But the important news is Roger. No chemo is something to look forward to, and to celebrate. Go Roger!
ReplyDeleteI can so relate Bonsai-I do the same thing when I have the chance. Neat shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news--I'll be counting with you all.
Bonsai is just thinking up new mischief to get into. Calm before the storm.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Roger and best wishes for many more years to come.
I get hipmotized by the fire too!
ReplyDeleteYa Roger!!!!

Fantastic photo. Bonsai looks so cute while he enjoys his fireplace. Good for Roger. That is certainly something to look forward to.
