Word Wednesday: Two Thrushes Meet

We haven't seen a Varied Thrush since we left Port Townsend. What a grand treat, and so lovely to see it with a Robin. I believe the Varied Thrush is just passing through on its way north, and the Robin has just returned from somewhere warmer. The cusp of seasons brings such riches, and especially now that we can enjoy it because we have POWER and Roger has finished chemo.

Life is good.

PS: Lousy photo taken from inside the house through a particularly winter-smudged window. Oh well, better than nothing, right?

    Well, I sure wish we could detect any kind of cusp up here, but as you might imagine, it's too gray and there's too much cold water falling on us to tell!

    we have what we belive is a mated pair of varied thrush that we enjoy watching feast under the feeder and dance under the shrubs. :)

    it is wednesday - a day with roger's name written all over it! congrats on your bravery and stamina and just getting through the hard stuff...both of you!

    Today makes chemo purely a memory and with power returned--wow, life is good. About time huh?

    What a feeling it must have been for Roger to wake up and realize, "No. Not today. Not tomorrow nor the day after, either." Drug-free indeed!

    The varied thrush is so beautiful. I hope the two birds were amicable!

    nice birds! and such a relief, the chemo is over.

    roger might not be feeling completely on top of the world yet -- takes a few days, as i recall. we'll still be dancing. :)

    I saw my first robin last week. I think it went back from whence it came. March is starting off real ugly this year.
