We have endless rain, too, up here in the Pacific Northwest, but there doesn't seem to be much color around...maybe it's the hail, darkness and mistiness that is obscuring it. I like your endless rain better!
Ah, birds tell us that rain is a backdrop to beauty. Lovely photos. I envy you your profusion of yellow rumps (the birds, not you and Roger...)
Lots of thaw today. Saw some big, fat polliwogs in the small pond, and Isla spotted and showed me a river otter. It fled before I could get my camera up (then there was Isla going bonkers on her leash....)
Many signs of spring. I can hear the birds and the rain when I look at your photos. I can smell spring, too.
ReplyDeleteexcellent! i particularly like the little guy in the rain, but am partial to ducks, too.
ReplyDeletebeautiful color - I love that yellow spot that stands out against everything!

Great Wood Duck photos!
ReplyDeleteThat third photo, that little guy is getting drenched. We're having a melt down here. It's supposed to get up to 40°.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, I have never seen a wood duck in the feathers. They are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe have almost 80 in the forcast this week. Time to till the beds.
Almost makes the rain welcome, doesn't it? Beautiful, just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like duck weather!
