Morning on the Bay

We took an early morning walk on Wednesday.
Just to see who would be out and about.
The Song Sparrows serenaded us all along the trail.
The White-crowned Sparrows were out as well.
This one sang its heart out.
Two Belted Kingfishers sat together quietly in the morning light,
before they burst into frenetic energy.
The eagle scratched its head, wondering what all the morning commotion was about.
Even the snail was suffused with the brightness of the day.
